By rigorously adhering to these "house rules", we do
our bit for the environment, keep our costs down, and so are
able to pass the cost savings on to you.
Green House Rule 1
Timer settings for heating are reviewed and changed regularly to ensure heaters only come on when necessary.
Green House Rule 2
All printer paper purchased is recycled paper.
Green House Rule 3
Double-sided printing is the default setting on all
our printers, and scrap paper is used whenever possible.
Green House Rule 4
Recycle bins for paper, tin and plastic are used in all
our offices.
Green House Rule 5
E-mail is our preferred method of communication. When
necessary, e-faxes are used instead of paper-based
fax machines.
Green House Rule 6
All staff are encouraged to join Hardware Shed's car
sharing scheme to commute to work.
Green House Rule 7
All computers, monitors, printers and other electrical
equipment are turned off overnight.
Green House Rule 8
Cardboard boxes are re-used.
Green House Rule 9
All lights use energy-saving light bulbs.
